There is no doubt that without your immeasurable support, these young people would find it difficult to know what computers and the internet are and therefore they would remain in this cycle of poverty which overwhelms thousands of young people all over the world and in the DRC
— Fadhili, Coordinator for CEAFPD Education Centre
After receiving Big Box, we have registered 80 students who will undertake a linguistics program from Cambridge and we added another computer program
— Erick Aloise, Project Manager, Rescue Wing Kakuma
Big Box, computer and tablets will not only boost our computer learning program and access to the internet, but they will also contribute to the improvement of children’s education, fight against digital illiteracy and non-access to onlive opportunities, a factor of 80% of unemployment among young people in the town of Uvira and its surroundings.”
— Mussa Fazili Moise, President, CEAFPD Education Centre, DRC
Quality internet will enhance our communication which will increase efficiency, effectiveness and timeliness of our support to the community people. They will get a better service from PHASE Nepal.
— Rudra Neupane, Programme Manager
We are in a hard to reach area but with this box our students have not missed anything [...]. The number of students at the high school has increased this term due to the fact that we have internet. The WiFi is helping make a difference [in] more ways and we are blessed to have been gifted with it.
— Joshua, Project Manager at the Good Samaritan Ministries, Uganda

Testimonials

Big Box has given tremendous help to the students and staff. Currently uploading data to Ministry of Education. It saves the time and cost of otherwise embarking on a 4 to 5hrs drive to Accra to submit heavy packets of data.
— Nana Otibribi III, Kpando High School Ghana
The Wi-Fi box from the Access Project has been a great help in my tutorials. It has allowed me to experience fast connectivity as well have a steady stream throughout all tutorials. Without the Wi-Fi box, I would not have been able to make tutorials as the access project platform requires you to ideally use a laptop or PC. This in turn would have affected the grades I receive for each of my subjects. I get tutored in biology and chemistry and since my Tutorials have resumed, I am able to maximise the help I need to get the grades as I can attend all of my tutorials. I know the Wi-Fi box may not sound that appealing, but I know that it will help many young people out there who have the ability and the potential to succeed, but experience this ongoing Wi-Fi issue.
— Year 13 student, through the Access Project
Thank you so much for the Big Boxes. Its really working great. We able to give internet access to the girls coming our Women’s Centre. The Jangala Wi-Fi helping girls learning coding for which we have partnered with Mentors without Borders. This really saves money of the girls because with one sim card provided by the organization at the centre lot of girls able to access internet.

Another use of the wifi is learning internet and explore the learning resources by the girls who come to the centre for learning basic of computer. there were many girls who even don’t know how to start a computer or laptop. Given them opportunity to access internet is a great help.

You all are doing great job! Three cheers for Team Jangala.
— Arshad, ALIG India Project Manager
Jangala team, thank you for this Big Box. It provides the fastest internet ever.
— Father Fadhili, CEAPF Education
The internet box has solved a problem that we have been dealing with for years, both students and teachers are super excited about this. The students can now access the internet in the computer lab, teachers can access the internet for their research and we also have access in the library
— Joshua, Project Manager at the Good Samaritan Ministries, Uganda
As my connection to the internet used to be weak, I often arrived late to my tutorials or had to end some early. I also couldn’t hand in homework at times because I couldn’t access it. Since I received Wi-Fi support from the Access Project, I’ve been able to keep on top of revision, homework and my tutorials. My grades have improved massively.

Before we got the Jangala Wi-Fi, people were entirely dependent on using it in a restaurant or café […] even if we run out of money for everything else, we’ll still be running phone charging and Wi-Fi
— Charlie, Founder, Mobile Refugee Support
I am able to study online and complete my projects without any computer complications. This has made a huge difference in my academic life as I am able to study overnight and have enough time rather than travelling and going to libraries, which sometimes were full and you had to wait hours to get your work done.
— Pamela Gordon, student in the Embo community, South Africa
The feedback from clients has been really positive. We sent a Get Box to an older Irish couple, one of whom has vaguely used smartphones, the other had no experience at all.

They’ve found Get Box super easy to use, and even managed to get signal in their basement flat (and they assured me that phone signal is usually a nightmare, aptly demonstrated by our call cutting out several times!) They now spend several hours each evening listening to Irish radio, for the first time in years, and communicating with friends and family overseas.

[Get Box] has helped to reduce the digital gap between students on free school meals
— Assistant Head, UK-based school
They are excellent devices and all of the people using them rely on them for communicating with home, friends, the kids doing their homework, etc. All of the wee things that you can take for granted until you are denied access
— Dessie Donnely - Director, PPR Project
We arrived for distribution and a young man came rushing over to me. He told me his brother was getting married in Sudan that day but he did not own a phone to call him. Of course I immediately gave him my phone. The cost of such a long distance call could be scary but thankfully we had the Jangala WiFi. I connected and was able to let him call via WhatsApp all afternoon! My phone was (virtually) passed round his entire family and he brought it over so I could wave at many people in Sudan that day. How terrible if this special day had been missed. Thank you Jangala
— Volunteer, Calais
My daughters are using their laptops with Get Box Wi-Fi and doing their homework. We are watching television - before Get Box we never used TV. This is the first time we are able to watch television. I browse a lot through my mobile using Get Box
