We’re hiring for a Digital Fundraising Manager

We’re looking for a Digital Fundraising Manager who shares our values, is motivated by great UX especially when it comes to making a website great (an area we will be looking at) and can match content to social audiences to drive engagement. You’ll enjoy creating powerful content and be skilled at using insight to drive decisions everyday.

Whilst we are especially looking for someone with a proven track record in raising money for a charity (and that will be part of this job), we are also open to considering people for this role who can demonstrate experience of engaging and growing audiences in other digital contexts outside of fundraising.

Details of the role

The Digital Fundraising Manager is a new role at Jangala, specifically focusing on using digital marketing to grow our reach and deepen our engagement with supporters. This role is key to Jangala growing support from the general public, including fundraising.

You will be enthusiastic about using all the digital tools that make for a brilliant supporter experience, in both the current and future fundraising and supporter engagement toolbox. Even if you don’t know how to use them right now, you’ll be keen to learn. You’ll also want to keep Jangala ahead of the curve when it comes to new innovations, tapping into lots of charity and private sector L&D and even blazing a trail for the new (after all, we have our own software engineers).

It’s likely you’ll wear at least two hats most of the time - supporter experience and data analytics. At the heart of your role is a commitment to helping people feel joy when they experience Jangala and a clear understanding of what’s working (and what’s not) in our digital activity, on a quest for constant improvement.

You’ll be motivated by wanting our website and social channels to be great places to visit, to test and learn what content engages our social audiences and what will drive more and/ or deeper engagement over time. You’ll create powerful content and establish insight-driven decision-making to improve our supporters’ experience when they engage with us and our cause.

Working with the Director of Fundraising and Communications, you’ll also help to explore what our digital presence looks and feels like - what it needs and what it could achieve - as we grow our community of supporters. This is both the supporters whose time, efforts and money help fund our cause and also the growing community of people Jangala helps connect to the internet globally on a daily basis all of whom form the essence of our cause.

Day to Day

You will be responsible for managing our digital fundraising campaigns and supporter communications (including our monthly e-newsletter) including performance; managing our website, social channels and owning our SEO strategy.

Developing products, propositions and digital assets across Jangala’s fundraising activity. This broadly fits into three income streams: Individual Giving, Challenge Events and Community Fundraising. As income and reach grow across these areas it is anticipated that we will recruit a Manager for each area to work alongside the Digital Fundraising Manager.
